Congratulations 5th Grade Graduates!!
           
    See You Next School Year!    

This being the final Shark Bytes for the 2009-2010 school year, I would like to say thank you to all the families for making 
Ulloa such a great school and for helping to accomplish another very successful academic year!!  
Without the support of the Staff, PTA, volunteers, and the Ulloa families we wouldn’t be the wonderful school community that 
we are today, so again, thank you!  I would like to extend a special thank you to Dilys Fong and Yan Wen Ma, 
two of our parent volunteers, who graciously translate the Shark Bytes newsletter each week for our Chinese speaking parents 
and to Joe Merer for posting the Shark Bytes on the Ulloa website each week.  I would like to wish you and your family a wonderful, safe, 
and relaxing summer break!  Enjoy and see you in the Fall!

Lost and Found – Please check the lost and found box located near the front lobby for any items that your child may have lost.  All unclaimed items will be donated on Friday, June 4, 2010.

Last Day of Instruction – The last day of the school year is Friday June 4, 2010.  Please be aware that attendance guidelines will still be upheld through the last day of school.  Thank you.

Graduation Lunch Set-up Volunteers – Volunteers are still needed to assist with graduation setting up and during the graduation luncheon.  Volunteers are needed for the following dates and times:

               Wednesday – June 2 @ 3:30pm – 5:00pm              Thursday – June 4 @ 10:00am – 3:00pm

Please note:  Volunteering will not allow you into the graduation ceremony, a bid is required to enter the auditorium for the ceremony.

 

5th Grade Promotion Ceremony and Bids (Grade 5 Only) – Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 11:00am – 12 noon in the auditorium.  You should have received your child’s bids for the promotion ceremony.  As a reminder each guest MUST have a bid in hand at the time of entrance…NO EXCEPTIONS!  No replacement bids will be provided.  Doors will open at 10:30am.

               Ulloa Siblings Attending Graduation – Please notify the child’s teacher of her/his attending the graduation prior to graduation day.  All siblings that will be attending the graduation will be released from their classroom and sent to the auditorium before the start of the ceremony.  Please do not pick your child up from the classroom.  Please do not save a seat for your child, all siblings will be seated in the front of the auditorium in order to accommodate all the adult guests.  In addition, if you are planning on taking your child home after the ceremony, please inform your child’s teacher in writing.  Thank you for your cooperation.

5th Grade Graduation DVD – DVD’s commemorating the Class of 2010 are available for purchase for $20.00 (CASH ONLY).  Look for the flyer into today’s Shark Folder and turn it into your child’s teacher.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
DATES TO REMEMBER:

            SCHOOL CLOSED – The school building will be closed for the summer beginning June 7, 2010.

            First Day of Instruction – The first day of the new school year is on August 16, 2010.
